Welcome to the Kumeu - Huapai Residents & Ratepayers Association


The Kumeu-Huapai Residents & Ratepayers Assn has been representing the views of the community since 2005.   The association provides an avenue for members of our community to raise issues and concerns and provides a united voice to make representations to Auckland Council.

The objects of the Association are community consultation and the sensitive and planned development of our community.

If you are interested in Kumeu - Huapai and want to be represented on local issues, the residents and ratepayers association provides an effective voice.

Our membership year is 1 April to 31 March.   The AGM is held in May.

at  the Kumeu Community Centre


2018 meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of March, May, July, September and November



The application for a proposed rest home and private hospital in the country side living zone at 455 Taupaki Road, Taupaki, in the land adjoining Soljan's Estate Winery, was rejected by the hearing commissioners.   The developers have appealed.  The was a mediation hearing on 28 June 2017 and in August with no agreement.   The appeal will be heard in the Environment Court in early 2018.


On 30 November 2017 the Local Government Commission released its decision on the applications by the Northern Action Group to establish a North Rodney unitary authority.   The existing local government arrangements for Auckland will continue.
